Contemporary Worship

In a world where offense and anxiety seem to dominate our daily experience, we're invited to discover a radically different way of living—one rooted in the peace that transcends all understanding. This message challenges us to examine why we get offended so easily, often because we're insecure about our identity. When we truly grasp that we are twice God's—once because He made us, and once because He bought us back through Christ's blood—criticism and hurt lose their power over us. The GPS analogy reminds us that we can recalculate without anger, respond without reactivity, and live unoffended because our worth isn't determined by others' words but by whose we are. Philippians 4:6-7 becomes our anchor: presenting everything to God with thanksgiving instead of anxiety. The powerful image of holding a glass of water teaches us that anxiety grows heavier the longer we carry it—but Jesus invites us to put it down and receive His rest. This isn't about denying real struggles; it's about training our brains through gratitude, focusing on what is true and lovely, and remembering that God is in control, He is the ultimate judge, and He can use even bad situations for good. We don't have to live offended or anxious—we get to live forgiven, free, and in peace.
